Soak and boil 100 gm of Tur/Arhar daal (Pigeon pea). Parboil pieces of Drumsticks, Pumpkins, Turai, and Loki. Add 2 tbsp. oil to a hot pan. Add Mustard seeds, a pinch of Turmeric and Asafetida each and few Curry leaves. Add cooked daal and parboiled vegetables and cubes of onions to this aromatic tadka and cook for 2-3 mins. Add 2 tbsp. of Kamdhenu Sāmbhar Masala, red Chilli powder and Salt to taste. Add 2 cups of Water, 2 tbsp. of Tamarind and Jaggery pulp and boil for 2-3 mins. Garnish with whole Red Chilli and Curry leaves Tadka and finely chopped fresh coriander. Serve hot with Idli, Medu Vada, Dosa, Appam or Rice.
